Core planning content is stored on your device. Nestra does not require an account to use the app. This policy applies to the Nestra Android app. It does not cover the Quietarc website, which has its own website privacy policy.

Nestra is built to keep your planning information close to you. In general:
Nestra stores planning information locally on your device so the app can function. This may include:
This information is used to provide the app's planning features. Nestra does not intentionally upload your planner content to Quietarc servers. Planner content includes things like your task text, reminder text, rhythm names, tag names, notes, and backup contents.
Nestra includes local backup tools. You may choose to:
Backups are user-controlled files. Nestra does not automatically upload backup files to Quietarc.
If you choose to save or share a backup through another app or service, that app or service may process the backup according to its own privacy practices. For example, if you save a backup to cloud storage or send it by email, that service is responsible for how it handles the file.
Restoring from a backup replaces the Nestra data on your device with the selected backup. Nestra may create a safety backup before restore. You are responsible for keeping backup files safe.
If you use reminders, Nestra may use Android notification features to show reminder notifications on your device. Reminder notifications may display information from the item you created, such as reminder or task text, depending on the reminder and Android notification behavior. Nestra does not require an account for reminders.
Nestra reminders are a helpful tool, but they should not be relied on for emergencies, medical needs, legal deadlines, safety-critical tasks, or anything where a missed reminder could cause harm.
Nestra may use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and basic diagnostic information to help us find and fix stability problems. Crash reports may include technical information such as:
Crash reports are used for app stability and maintenance. Nestra does not use Crashlytics for advertising. Nestra should not intentionally include task text, rhythm text, reminder text, tag names, backup contents, or other planner content in crash reports. Nestra does not use Firebase Analytics unless we separately add and disclose it in the future.
The Free version of Nestra may show a sponsored/ad placement in the Inbox. Nestra may use Google Mobile Ads and Google consent tools to support this ad placement.
Nestra does not show personalized ads. Nestra does not use your tasks, reminders, rhythms, tags, backup contents, or planning content to target ads.
Ad and consent services may process technical information needed to provide, measure, limit, secure, or manage ads and consent choices. This may include information such as device identifiers, app information, approximate technical data, consent status, and ad interaction information, depending on Google's services and your settings.
Pro is intended to remove ads where available.
Nestra may offer Pro features through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles payment processing, subscriptions, cancellations, and payment methods. Quietarc does not receive your full payment card information from Google Play.
To verify Pro access, Nestra may use a billing backend. The billing backend is used only for subscription and entitlement verification. The billing backend may process billing-related information such as:
The billing backend must not store planner content such as task text, reminder text, rhythm text, tag names, notes, or backup files.
If you email us at hello@quietarc.dev, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include. We use this information to respond to you and keep a record of support or business correspondence.
Do not send sensitive planner content, passwords, payment details, private keys, or backup files unless we specifically ask for something and you are comfortable sharing it.

Local planner data remains on your device unless you delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, replace it through restore, or your device removes it.
Backup files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.
Crash reports and diagnostic data are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics and Google retention practices.
Billing entitlement records may be retained as needed to verify Pro access, handle subscription status, support purchase restore, prevent abuse, and maintain records required for operation, legal, tax, or compliance purposes.
Emails you send us may be retained for support, business, legal, or recordkeeping purposes.
You can remove local Nestra planner data by using in-app data controls where available, clearing app data through Android settings, or uninstalling the app.
If you created backup files, you are responsible for deleting those files from wherever you saved or shared them.
If you subscribed to Pro through Google Play, you can manage or cancel the subscription through Google Play.

Because Nestra does not require accounts, we may not be able to identify app data on your device unless you provide enough information for us to understand and respond to your request.
Nestra is intended for adults. Nestra is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through Nestra.
We use reasonable safeguards for the parts of Nestra and its supporting systems that we control. No app, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should keep your device secure and store backup files carefully.
Quietarc is based in the United States. If you use Nestra outside the United States, information processed by service providers or support systems may be handled in the United States or other countries where those providers operate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described in plain language where appropriate.
